FORE-PAR INTRODUCES HALO™ HI-VIZ TO GOLF CAR AND LSV INDUSTRY

Fore-Par Group has partnered with HALO™ Coatings to introduce HALO™ Hi-Viz to the golf car and LSV industry. Their patented technology combines retro-reflec-tivity with powder coating. Retro-reflectivity is the ability to return light directly back to its source and only its source. HALO™ Coatings has created a process where perfectly aligned tiny glass spheres are embedded onto the powder coat to provide the retro-reflective capability. Everyone has seen the power of retro-reflectivity, as it has been used for years in a tape form on stop signs, large trucks, and even sneakers.

Urson Russell, head of Fore-Par business development says, "We see this process being used on wheels, top supports and rocker panels to dramatically increase the distance that the coated car is visible to another vehicle at night.” He goes on to say, "Whether the HALO™ powder coat is silver, black, or some other color it still maintains the retro-reflective property and can be seen at night, thus offering real flexibility for the customer and the daytime appearance of the car.”

Fore-Par introduced this new technology at the 2010 Golf Industry show in San Diego. They featured a golf car treated with HALO™ Hi-Viz parts and it caught the attention of many in the industry. Fore-Par President, Scott Mallory commented, "24 hours after the show, we had our first order! A large Movie Studio will have their fleet of electric trams modified to include HALO™ treated parts. Studio Management quickly understood the impact of the coating for safety and they wanted to be an early adopter. We see this safety feature as an absolute must for golf cars and LSV’s, especially considering their increased usage in road environments.
